I like Sick puppies, Glassjaw, Coldpay, Modest mouse, A Perfect Circle, Incubus, now could you please lead me towards good song suggestions please? Not bands but accutal songs. Maybe something slower, or just at least something meaning full? No bullshit or mainstream, Thank ya:)

no mainstream?? all of those bands you named are mainstream except maybe glassjaw! lol.

i know you dont want bands.. but knowing the band gives you ALL their songs.

armor for sleep – dream to make believe and what to do when you are dead are their best
minus the bear – menos el oso is the best cd in my opinion
    postal service – give up

    also try owl city.
nothing like the bands you named but VERY soothing

check those out. you’ll like em

I Summon You by Spoon (really chilled out, but I think you’d like it), No Don’t Shoot! by Foxy Shazam (if you’re into a little creative hardcore check that out), and just to go really out there Reunion by Stars (a feel-good song with ironically pretty sad lyrics by a band that’s starting to get popular).

I put videos with those songs in them in my sources.

I hope I was of some help. :)

I really love Kings of Leon. Try Arizona, Wicker Chair, and their new song Crawl.

    Arizona:
    Wicker Chair:
    Crawl: (Their political song…)

King’s Crossing by Elliott Smith: (This is Elliott Smith’s deliberate decision to return to drugs, which furthered his depression and led to his ’suicide’)

Turn by Travis: (I really like this music video just as much as–if not more than–the song itself, which starts about a minute and a half into the video.)

A Cautionary Tale by the Decemberists: (This isn’t the entire song, but the rest I saw were poor quality, live.)

Holland, 1945 by Neutral Milk Hotel: (A lot of people are thrown by his voice, but I like it. The lyrics, however, are absolutely beautiful.)

Check out Faintly. They seem to be writing very powerful, meaningful lyrics. And the music is melodic, and memorable. The band has a live video posted on youtube so you can get an idea of what they sound like live! The video isn’t the best quality, but the audio is pretty good! Click the link below to check out there live video.
